Fabrizio Modonese Palumbo è membro dell' experimental-cult-band Larsen. Con i Larsen Fabrizio ha condiviso il palco tra gli altri con Neurosis, Crash Worship, Ulan Bator, Breach,The Living Jarboe, e Michael Gira (il quale ha anche prodotto e pubblicato per la sua etichetta Young God l'album dei Larsen Rever). ( r ) è il progetto solista di musica "ambient" di Fabrizio e si muove nei territori dell'ambient-noise piu' introspettivo cosi' come in quelli della canzone d'autore e dell'industrial "storico". "Humps" uscito per l'americana Radon e' primo album solista come ( r ) per il quale ha collaborato, tra gli altri, con l'artista visuale Michelle Handelmann (Survival Research Laboratory, Monte Cazazza). Recentemente Fabrizio è stato invitato dal colletivo e-Xplo per un progetto commissionato dalla biennale d'arte internazionale Big Torino nonchè dal leggendario cantante dei Can Damo Suzuki per alcuni concerti e registrazioni come membro del suo Network. Prossimi progetti includono una collaborazione con la Black Sun Production per un tributo al lavoro di Brecht/Weill che avrà come ospiti Lydia Lunch e H.R.Giger. Fabrizio sta lavorando al secondo album come ( r ) e a diverse collaborzaioni con Olivier Manchion (Ulan Bator, Permanent Fatal Error) e Bruce Lafountaine (Sword Volcano Complex), John Duncan ed al progetto Blind Cave Salamander al fianco di Paul Beauchamp ( Gullinkambi, Sikhara, Bastard Noise, Steve McKay Band...). Fabrizio Modonese Palumbo, is a member of the experimental-cult-band Larsen. Among others Larsen has toured and worked with with Neurosis, Ulan Bator, Breach, Crash Worship, The Living Jarboe, and Michael Gira (who also produced their album rever and published it for his Young God Records Label). ( r ) is Fabrizio's ambient solo project, a mighty cocktail of introspective-ambient-noise and classical industrial music and a kind of lyrical song-writing. "Humps" (out on the US label Radon, distributed by revolver), is ( r )'s first solo album, that marks the collaboration with Fabrizio and the visual artist/performer Michelle Handelmann (Monte Cazazza's M&M, Survival Research Laboratory, Psychic Tv) too. Fabrizio has also been invited by the e-Xplo collective to work with them on a project for the Biennal of the Young Art (Big Torino 2002) as well as by the legendary Can's Singer Damo Suzuki to join his Network for some gigs and a recording session. Fabrizio's music is also featured as part of the soundtrack of Fabiana Antonioli's documentary "io".
