Marzia Migliora racconta storie che fanno riferimento di volta in volta a memorie culturali e collettive o al proprio passato individuale. Le vicende che racconta sono vicende emotive, legate per lo più all’infanzia, al gioco o al sentire più profondo e più intimo. La memoria però non è mai idillio, nel lavoro di questa artista, ma è sempre complessità di valori e ambivalenza di emozioni. Le sue opere, soprattutto fotografie e video, sono legate a tematiche come la relazione con il tempo, la verifica delle proprie capacità, dei propri limiti, della propria resistenza, ma anche l’effetto delle emozioni. In molti casi sono caratterizzati da un ritmo cullante, vagamente ossessivo. Nata nel 1972 ad Alessandria, vive e lavora a Torino. |
Marzia Migliora tells stories which from time to time refer to cultural and collective memories or to her own individual past. The events she tells are emotional and for the most part related to childhood, games, or to deeper and intimate feeling. In Migliora’s work, however, the memory is never idyllic, but it is always complexity of values and ambivalence of emotions. Her art works, mostly photographs and videos, are linked to issues like the relationship with time, or they are about verifying one’s own abilities, limits, and resistance, but they also investigate the effect of emotions. In many cases they are characterized by a rocking rhythm, vaguely obsessive. Born in 1972 at Alessandria, actually she lives and works in Torino. |
